Firstly, I want to talk about the way this movie is expressing, the structure is very clear and the subject the director wants to show is also very impressive. From my point of view, Al Gore is not only a good politician, but also a hard-nosed scientist. His perseverant attitude to what he believes and giving tour speech in the way of “city by city, person by person” convinced me so much. I have to say he is one of the most respectable persons that I’ve ever admired.

Global warming is not just an environment issue any more, it has become an moral issue now. We can’t just sit there like the frog in the water, even as the temperature continues to go up and up, we have to decide act together right now to solve these problems, to help our world and ourselves out of this disaster. I still remember there is a sentence before the ending: ”You see that pale blue dot? All the triumphs, all the tragedies, All the wars, all the families. All the major advances. It’s our only home.”

When I see this movie, it reminds me the massive earthquake in Sichuan China, there are many volunteers who leave their hometown to help those homeless who they will never know if there is no such a disaster happened. That is a kind of social responsibility. And the same as we are facing now, global warming. It’s time for us to think about what we need to do and what we can’t do anymore.
